What is Animation?
The process of bringing illustrations or inanimate objects to life through motion pictures is known as animation. Animation techniques manipulate photos and drawings to create the illusion of movement and to tell a story to viewers on screen. (MasterClass, n.d.)
History of Animation
Throughout the decade, animation evolved, with French cartoonist Émile Cohl’s two-minute stick figure animation, Fantasmagorie (1908), becoming one of the first cartoons. (MasterClass, n.d.)
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, produced by Walt Disney Studios, was the first animated feature film (1937). This film employed the traditional cel animation process, which entailed rendering two-dimensional visuals on a transparent sheet of celluloid. The cel animation process allowed for the transfer of illustrations between frames rather than having to redraw from scratch each time, which sped up the process and saved time and labour. Examples of Animations
While I studied other animations that are comparable to my own animation in terms of theme or style while storyboarding my own animation.
Circular Economy
The first animation examines the definition of the Circular Economy through the use of simple yet effective imagery. Following a cycle, each keyframe transitions into the next. The colours are extremely vibrant and complement each image to emphasise the importance of sustainability. The key transition from sun to circle back to sun illustrates the Circular Economy cycle. This animation, particularly the seamless transitions, could serve as a model for my own animation.
Sustainability in Everyday Life
This animation compares the costs of normal living to the costs of sustainable living by using colour changes to show the difference between pollution and sustainability. Because this animation can be used for informational purposes, infographics can broaden its audience. Green and blue clearly distinguishes between normal and sustainable living expenses, as this animation may demonstrate the benefits of sustainability.
Eco House Animation
These animations will be used as research for my own animation, which will have a style similar to one of these animations and will follow a similar pattern. My animation will use a smooth transition between keyframes and will be able to reach a large audience in order to raise awareness, as many people are unaware of the benefits of sustainable housing.

Psychometrical Testing
My mission was to choose which character would best match me as I viewed the Dasnish Orchestra performance. The individual sitting next to me was made to evaluate me once my self evaluation was done. After talking with the individual sitting next to me, the choice was made to become a conductor or whistler.
Why psychometrical testing is important?
The job market is extremely competitive, which can make the recruitment process difficult for employers. Hiring someone who appears to be a safe bet but struggles to fit in or, worse, disrupts the team can be an expensive and time-consuming mistake that employers must avoid (Melissa Turner, picked, 22 July 2021).
Recruiters can use psychometric testing to further assess each candidate and get a clear picture of how they might perform and behave in the workplace to take the selection process to the next level (Melissa Turner, picked, 22 July 2021).
Teamwork
Our group project was to create a flipbook of caterpillar eating something. My additional idea was to allow the caterpillar to eat pineapple. However, it was altered by making the caterpillar building a scooper from large bricks.
My caterpillar fipbook will follow the caterpillar as it discovers the Lego bricks hidden beneath the leaf and constructs the scooter. Lego bricks were chosen as the caterpillar is really small. This concept came from my childhood memories of building a scooter out of large bricks. When I was a kid, I used to ride my homemade scooter across the room and was amazed that it didn’t break. As the caterpillar scooters, it approaches and circles the pineapple. When the caterpillar reaches the top of the pineapple, it begins to move between the leaves.

After the process of brainstorming, I have come up with a variety of sustainable housing-related ideas in order to create animation. My first thought was to create a mouse-like animated character who would cross a unhealthy village and notice the advertisement. This advertisement changes to a sustainable town with recycled objects and a natural setting. As soon as the mouse enters a new area, it starts interacting with its neighbours. I abandoned the idea after quickly creating a storyboard because it was difficult and the transitions between the frames weren’t as seamless.
After conducting extra study, I discovered a European sustainable method known as Circular Economy, which entails reusing construction materials and adding more environmentally friendly components to reduce the number of diseases afflicting individuals living in standard dwellings. As a result, I chose to include this aspect in the animation. As a result, I created a new concept that connects two notions, such as Sustainable Housing and Circular Economy. This design storyboard begins with a mouse running through a village with ordinary houses. Mouse is sprinting to the reconstruction site, which instead of constructing buildings, rebalances them and recycles the materials. As the mouse enters the site, it displays the piece of paper from its back.
Using nature and ecological elements, this sheet of paper turns into the sustainable village. The mouse then runs to the pond across the new village. When the mouse stares into the water, it reflects the inner person that it has become. The person will then open the door to her new home. While the individual was walking home, another individual passed by and looked at the pond. The mouse is reflected in the pond. As a result, the person transforms into the mouse, and a falling leaf from the tree transforms into that piece of paper. As a result, the circle that connects Sustainable Housing and Circular Economy continues.

What is Sustainability?
The definition of sustainability is “meeting the requirements of the present without compromising the needs of the future” and “ensuring a balance between economic growth, environmental protection, and social well-being.” (Santander Universidades, 06 April 2022)
Sustainable development is possible with political will and public support since it relies on the desire to preserve our world, helps reduce pollution and conserve resources, boosts the economy and creates jobs, promotes public health, and protects biodiversity. (Converse Energy Nature, n.d.)
How people sustain the nature?
People already protect the environment by avoiding using plastic wherever possible. Purchase a glass water bottle that can be filled up again, recycle all paper and cardboard packaging, wrap packages by hand, and switch to green energy sources and products.
As green energy and environmentally friendly materials are frequently employed in houses, this will be advantageous. People will thus feel healthier and benefit nature by living in sustainable buildings or even by reusing recycled goods.
Sustainable housing
According to Paul Collins, “An eco-friendly house is a house which respects the environment, is made from non-toxic materials, and is energy-efficient both in its construction and use. However, new technologies and construction methods mean that the concept of an “eco-friendly home” is constantly evolving.” (Paul Collins, Selectra, n.d.)
Health hazards arise from a degraded urban environment that is plagued by air and noise pollution, a lack of green spaces, and limited transportation options. The population’s physical and mental health is directly impacted by housing circumstances. Numerous avoidable illnesses and injuries, including cancer, cardiovascular, respiratory, and nervous system disorders, are caused by, or worsened by, substandard housing and interior conditions. (UNDRR, n.d.)
Target Audience
When it comes to making my own animation, the target audience will be families and people who are unable to live in a regular house due to allergies or other health issues caused by the materials used in these houses. A possible animation will investigate the significance of Sustainable Housing and the Circular Economy.
